2018 Honda Accord Sport New Review

Although Honda hasn’t released any details on the 2018 Honda Accord, we expect the 10th-generation model to debut for 2018 based on Honda’s five-year product cycle (we’ll update this space as soon as we have official info). Power for the 2017 Honda Accord comes from a 2.4-liter I-4 with 185-189 hp and 181-182 lb-ft or a 3.5-liter V-6 making 278 hp and 252 lb-ft. Transmission choices for the 2.4-liter include a six-speed manual or CVT, and the 3.5-liter is backed by a six-speed automatic with sport mode.

It’s possible that a version of the turbocharged 1.5-liter I-4 used in the new Civic and CR-V crossover could replace the naturally aspirated 2.4-liter for the next-generation Accord. The new Accord might also adopt the new Pilot SUV’s revised 3.5-liter V-6, which makes 280 hp and 262 lb-ft, and is mated to a new nine-speed automatic in higher trims. (The Pilot uses the six-speed auto in lower trims.)

We also expect to see even more active safety and driver assist tech offered for the 2018 Honda Accord. Don’t be surprised to see a redesigned Accord Hybrid model carryover.
