The mid-size 2018 Armada offers a complete lineup with a wide variety of finishes and features, two conventional engines.

The Armada, Nissan’s largest and best-equipped SUV, arrived in 2017 with a completely new look and a powertrain. With its reworking just a model year ago, we anticipate the large people hauler will carry over into the new year without any notable changes.

2018 Armada Price

Looks, as expected, should remain completely unchanged, as the new design is just a year old. The 2017 redesign, while comprehensive, is a bit evolutionary, which makes the new-generation Armada very recognizable. It does, however, grow in length by 1.2 inches and width by 0.6 inches. Inside, we expect the new Armada’s eight-passenger cabin will remain completely unchanged.

As for standard features, we anticipate these remaining unchanged in the new year. If this proves true, then look for the 2018 Armada to come with LED low-beam headlights, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a 13-speaker Bose audio system, a rearview monitor, push-button start, navigation, and more.

Powering the new-generation Armada is an updated 5.6-liter V8 with 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque at its disposal. This new V8 mates to a new seven-speed auto transmission and rear- or four-wheel drive. We anticipate all of this carrying over unchanged in the new year.

2018 Armada New Review

The Armada hasn’t been tested for safety by the IIHS, but we anticipate high marks for the new model thanks to its slew of standard and available safety features. Standard features include Nissan Advanced Air Bag System, zone body construction, and more. Available features include blind-spot warning, blind spot intervention, backup collision intervention, forward collision warning, forward emergency braking, and lane-departure warning with prevention.

Pricing & Release Date

Nissan has not yet announced a release date for the 2018 Armada. However, based on production estimates, we currently anticipate an on-sale date in August.

Pricing has not yet been released. No major price increases are expected compared to the 2017 model, which ranges from $44,900 to $60,490 (destination fees included).
